Stanford researches designed a soft robot that navigates its environment through growth

This robot was designed by researchers at Stanford, and its versatility is pretty nice. It can put out small fires, open valves, can navigate through spikes and glue. Hopefully it can one day be mass produced incredibly cheaply and be used for all sorts of things, like surgery, search, constructions and rescue missions
